Halloween is tomorrow, and to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration, the American Academy of Pediatrics has shared five important tips.

1. Plan costumes that are bright and reflective to enhance visibility.

2. Do not allow small children to carve pumpkins, as it can be dangerous.

3. Remove tripping hazards at home and check outdoor lights to keep your property safe for trick-or-treaters.

4. Always accompany young children while they are trick-or-treating, and visit only houses that have their porch light on.

5. Provide your child with a good meal before Halloween parties and trick-or-treating to help discourage overeating on sweets.

These recommendations aim to help families have a fun and safe Halloween.
