The Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) has issued safety reminders for Halloween to help keep pedestrians safe. The department emphasizes the importance of obeying traffic signals, avoiding distracted driving, and adhering to speed limits.

As families and children participate in trick-or-treating, MBPD advises pedestrians to look both ways before crossing the street. It is also recommended to make oneself visible before crossing and to use designated crosswalks whenever possible.

In addition, the public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity by adhering to the message: "If you see something, say something."
