**Cheryl Finkel Named Employee of the Week in Myrtle Beach**

Myrtle Beach, SC – Cheryl Finkel has been recognized as this week's Employee of the Week by the City of Myrtle Beach as part of the First in Service Friday initiative. Finkel has served as a Victim Advocate for the city for the past five years and has a total of 18 years working with the city.

Finkel's career began in detentions before she transitioned to her current role to focus on her passion for helping individuals in need. In her position, she assists victims of crimes in securing housing and meeting their basic needs.

Originally from Ohio, Finkel relocated to the Myrtle Beach area in 1998. Before joining the city, she worked in loss prevention and also served in the United States Navy. She finds fulfillment in her job by supporting victims and giving them a voice in their struggles.

Her nomination highlights her effectiveness as both a Victim Advocate and a supervisor, noting that she ensures her team is well-prepared and taken care of. Colleagues commend Finkel for her empathetic approach and the time she dedicates to victims, making a significant impact in the community.

The City of Myrtle Beach extends gratitude to Cheryl Finkel for her commitment to service.
