Chapin Library in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, said it has cancelled its upcoming youth pirate event.

The library posted that it was “sad to share” the cancellation, adding that it had been excited to welcome the community for a day of pirate fun, stories, and adventure.

In its message, Chapin Library thanked people for their understanding and said community members should “keep your eyes on the horizon” for a rescheduled date and future events.
