Myrtle Beach Honors Veterans with Ceremony Tribute

Staff Report / MBlocal.org

Myrtle Beach held its Veterans Day Ceremony at the General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center on the morning of November 11. The event began with opening remarks by Colonel Jim Albert from the Military Association of America. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department presented the Colors.

James “Bull” Canty played the National Anthem, during which attendees saluted in honor of the military. U.S. Army Veteran Captain Adrian Sawczuk delivered the Veterans Address, focusing on the significance of service. The musical group Festive Brass performed, highlighting military heritage during the ceremony.

One of the highlights was the “service songs” segment, where veterans stood as their respective branch anthems were played. The ceremony concluded with a collective singing of “God Bless America.”
