The City of Myrtle Beach Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism said power was restored and that Crabtree Memorial Gym and the Gen. Robert H. Reed Recreation Center are now open and back to regular operations.

Earlier, the city said the facilities were closed because of an ongoing power outage in southern Myrtle Beach. It said all programs, fitness classes, and activities were canceled while the facilities remained closed and that they would resume once power was restored and the centers reopened.
